So glad you've returned to blogging .
I hadn't heard of Kettles Yard when I went to the Cambridge Folk Festival years ago , but was bowled over by it . Especially loved the feeling of the place , and the Elisabeth Vellacott drawings/paintings .

You were very restrained Jane, I think I would have had to lift up one of the pebbles to look for a number underneath. Seeing the Ian Hamilton Findlay piece remids me of a bizzare afternoon I spent at Little Sparta digging a path, in the company of an ex-boy friend, who knew I. H. F. I remember sitting in his unheated kitchen chatting to him (or probably more accurately listening to him talk to my boyfriend), and it was so cold that he had a big drip at the end of his nose, that moved and twinkled in the weak winter sunshine.
