Beautifully put....both visual and words. I love the sparseness which appears once the decorations are put away. All that is needed are bulb jars with the promise of colour and scent.

hmmm - still feels pretty dark here in Scotland but I love your optimism and brightness. And am certainly with you on the vegetable front.

Thank you for this. As a January birthday girl, I've always loved it for the same reasons -- clean, crisp and cold... and more presents! -- but there's a lot of moaning about it online. It's nice to see someone else concur for a change.

I, too, love January. September and January are my favourite months, something to do with fresh starts I think.

Gorgeous produce pics! Makes me want to take it all home with me..........

:) Pretty good examples of being sleepy, and being bright-eyed.

Perfect illustrations in stained glass of your prose. I like January too. x

Thank you for such a fresh burst of colour.

I like to think of January in two parts...the packing-up-Christmas part, then the lovely fresh start part. Such beautiful vibrant colours in your photos.

Love the last two pictures! Made me laugh.
