Gracie

Jane, thank you for the introduction to Stammer's work. In my 65 years I have mainly appreciated the stained glass I viewed in churches. I cherish the memories of the stained glass I viewed at the little Presbyterian church I attended as a child in Missouri, USA. The church has long been burned down. The memories of the beauty of the windows though fueled my hope in seeing beauty around me in ancient Christians' relationships with God. Stammer's work expands my vision, helping me to hope to see beauty in modern Christians' relationships with God.

Your appreciation of "colour, pattern, detail, light and expression" helps me understand more about the art of stained glass and why I am drawn to evaluate it!
